PKS’ core technology RippleDown has been acknowledged at the 2013 National Pathology Summit “Informing Clinical Decisions”. The Conference was held as part of the NHS England National Pathology Programme to review the current use of information technology in pathology services.
RippleDown formed part of a detailed discussion on the capability of mature knowledge bases for acute care. Dr Glenn Edwards, Medical Director of St John of God Pathology, shared his experience of RippleDown as a clinical decision support tool enabling greater efficiency, speed and accuracy in reporting for the laboratory. The experience and success of technologies were discussed at the Conference in an aim to understand the benefits of IT systems in transforming the industry to meet patient and referrer needs.
