Creating a workflow comment

Different workflow comments can be created to perform specific actions. For details on the specific formats of these messages please contact your IT Administrator.

Email Workflow comment

Email comments can be created using the following steps:

  • Right click on the ‘WORKFLOW’ report section and select ‘Add comment…’
  • Create a comment using the following format:

<EMAIL>

<TO> john.smith@lab.com.au </TO>

<SUBJECT> subject of the email </SUBJECT>

<BODY> body of the email </BODY>

</EMAIL>

  • Edit the ‘To’, ‘Subject’ and ‘Body’ sections of the comment to include the information you want to send. You can use the “Insert Expression” option to insert variables into the comment.

  • To finish building the rule, continue following the steps through the Rule Wizard, adding the appropriate conditions as required to include an email comment. The email comments will always appear in red as the report section is disabled.
