Once a patient’s registration details, scan results and clinical history have been received, the Knowledge Base will automatically generate an interpretive report for this patient, and queue the report to the RippleDown Validator for review and approval by the clinical expert.
If a report has been queued and any of the patient’s details are changed (e.g. the clinical history information is edited), a new report will be generated and will overwrite the one already queued.
When the clinical expert reviews a report, changes are able to be made to the report prior to approval.
Once the report is approved, it is automatically printed according to a pre-defined format (see Settings), and the status of the patient on the Scan worklist will beĀ correspondingly updated. The patient may then be removed from the Scan worklist (see Removing the patient from the worklist).
A PDF formatted version of the report will be generated and stored in the report output directory. If any changes need to be made to the report once it has been reviewed, then the PDF file can be edited with Adobe Acrobat 5.0 or later, and reprinted.
