Once a patient’s scan has been completed, the densitometer Technician should send the results to RippleDown using the Prodigy menu “File | Send to | HL7…”
When the patient’s scan results have been received by RippleDown, the Results status of the patient on the Scan worklist will be correspondingly updated.
The next step is for the densitometer Technician to enter the clinical history for the patient (see Entering clinical history).
The patient’s results and history will then be interpreted by the Knowledge Base, and the report queued to Validator for review and approval (see Approving the interpretive report).
