When you type an expression as part of a condition in the rule wizard, the system can provide you with a list of hints that match what you have typed so far.
Depending on what you have set in the User Settings, the hints will appear either automatically (when you start typing), or manually (after you type the key combination [CTRL-SPACE]).
In general, the hints include:
- attributes
- constants
- functions
- features
You can select a hint using the mouse or arrow key, then press [Enter] or [TAB] to accept it.
Hints are not only available in the rule wizard. They are available anywhere where you need to enter a rule expression, including:
- entering a condition when searching for cases, and
- entering an expression to use in a Calculated Value attribute or Episode attribute
Note: The hints shown will be restricted in some instances, depending on the type of condition or expression you are building. For example, no Features will be shown as hints if you are creating a Calculated Value attribute as they are not allowed in this situation.
