In RippleDown it is possible to perform a bulk delete operation on an auditor or validator queue. This might be necessary, for example, to get rid of cases that were sent to the system while it was in test mode.
Note: Once cases have been removed from a queue they cannot be restored, so care must be taken with this operation.
To remove cases from a queue:
- Select the required queue on the Auditor or Validator main screen, but do not activate the Audit or Review button.
- From the ‘File‘ menu select ‘Purge queue…‘.
- Two options will be presented: to remove all cases, or to remove just those cases that are older than some number of days.
- After confirmation, the actual process of deleting the cases happens as a background process, with progress shown in the bottom left-hand corner of the screen. There is also the option to cancel the operation, but this will not recover any cases that were deleted before cancellation.
Cases on a queue can also be selectively deleted once you are reviewing that queue.
See Reviewing a case for more information.
